eLearning11: Unplugged - getting mobile in education

Synopsis

An increasing number of learners are using an array of mobile devices and its important that educators are aware of the tools and their capabilities in order to effectively integrate m-learning into teaching strategies. Students are able to learn and share information anytime and anywhere, enhancing the overall teaching and learning experience.
This session will provide an overview of the educational uses of mobile devices, and will cover topics such as: how mobile devices are being used in education, m-learning tools, and how they can be embedded in teaching and learning with focus on: images, videos, audio, accessing and creating documents, cloud storage, and moblogging and vlogging for evidence-based assessment tools.
